The Redwood Valley School, which was closed down in 2010, is being sold by Ukiah Unified School District. We are researching this opportunity as a site for our cohousing community. In the meantime, here are some photos from our first visit to the site yesterday. It is comprised of two parcels totally 12.7 acres that go down to the headwaters of the Russian River. We were not able to get into any of the buildings and hope to get in soon to look around and see what the possibilities are. One needs to imagine what can be done with this property to transform it into a beautiful and functional cohousing community.
